First Amendment Center

While prowling the Web recently, I came across a great site for law students and anyone interested in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution: the First Amendment Center. The mission of the First Amendment Center, affiliated with Vanderbilt University through its Vanderbilt Institute of Public Policy Studies, is to provide a nonpartisan source of information and research sources on First Amendment topics. Information on the site is organized by the five freedoms covered by the First Amendment: speech, press, assembly, religion, and petition. The page for each freedom includes links to "cases and resources" and to coverage of related special topics, such as prior restraint or flag-burning. The site also features a complete list of research topics, cases by topic, and Supreme Court dockets for terms from 2000 to the present, by First Amendment area. This is an excellent site for law students to explore and bookmark for the upcoming semester.
