Here, one may view cases on the subject of religious liberty, as well as commentaries, federal statutes, state constitutions, and other important historical materials that are relevant to religious freedom in the United States.

Studies in Scarlet

Last Tuesday's post directed you to "bloody murder" from the Harvard Law Library. This week, we are following it up with adultery, abduction, and seduction. Also from the Harvard Law Library, Studies in Scarlet presents trial narratives involving marriage and sexuality from 1815-1914. This fascinating collection "consists of the stories of ordinary men and women thrust into the public eye when their marriages and love affairs went wrong or their relationships did not conform to social standards."

Loose-leaf Binders

Need a loose-leaf binder? There are some used blue loose-leaf binders available in Government Documents. Some of the exteriors are a little battered, but all of the binders are sturdy and usable. We prefer not to discard usable binders so are offering them to law students.

The binders are on a carrel – with a sign - in Government Documents. Government Documents is the glass-enclosed area in the same lower level as the computer lab and periodicals.

Please come and take a binder if you need one. The number is limited so they may be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

If you are interested in human rights issues, look at the Human Rights Watch website. Their site provides access to information concerning current human rights issues and includes Human Rights Watch Reports in full text.

Regulations.gov

Regulations.gov, previously noted on this blog in 2005, is being called Regulations.gov 2.0 because of some enhancements. More agencies now integrate information into the site (a full list of participating agencies is here). It is also possible to sign up to be alerted by email when documents have been added to specific dockets, and to get an RSS feed of new material in the Federal Register. However, the RSS feed from Regulations.gov is general, for all Federal Register content. Better, agency-specific RSS feeds are available from OpenRegulations.org.
