Results of the Library's Quiet/Talking Spaces poll

Voting on the Library's Quiet/Talking Spaces poll has ended, and the votes were fairly evenly divided among the three choices. For that reason, the Quiet/Talking room designations will remain as they currently stand.

Again, please remember that any "talking" areas of the library are intended for low-voiced talking, for primarily study purposes. If there's an unreasonable amount of noise in a particular area, students may report it to the Reference Desk or the Circulation Desk. The complaint will be investigated, though action may be slightly delayed in certain circumstances (e.g. assisting another student with a research request).

Please be courteous of others by keeping voices low both in the "talking" rooms and while walking from one room to the next.

Thank you for your participation in our poll and good luck on exams!

The allowance of talking areas is ludicrous and I am disappointed in my fellow students that they can't understand that people come to the library for quiet places to study.
